On November 24, 2019, the Xterra Trail Run World Championship was held at Kualoa Ranch, on Oahu.  The World Championship is the “crown jewel” of the Xterra Trail Run Series.

It was a 21 kilometer half-marathon course, which took runners through some the of most diverse and scenic terrain on the planet.

There was no qualifying process to enter the Trail Run World Championship, and was open to runners of all ages, with skill levels that ranged from beginner to elite. 

Various courses were available to accommodate the various skill levels- the 21K Championship course, a 10K, a 5K, and an “adventure walk”.

The trails that were utilized at Kualoa Ranch were normally closed to the public, so it offered a rare opportunity for runners to experience the unique setting.
